We are happy that you are interested in getting to know us!
If you came here and wonder what IVSA is all about, let’s give you a short overview:
IVSA, the “International Veterinary Student ́s Association”, is a global network of students with the ambition “to benefit the animals and people of the world by harnessing the potential and dedication of veterinary students to promote the international application of veterinary skills, education and knowledge”. If you’d like to know more about the IVSA in general, please visit their website or have a look at their and the standing committees’ webpage in the web menu.
The IVSA Germany is a registered non-profit organization and as an established MO (Member Organization) part of the big family of IVSA Global.
We have an executive committee of seven: The President, the exchange officer and the treasurer form the official board. The extended board consists of the vice president, the chapter coordinator, our public relations officer and the communication officer. All of them are supported through active members of IVSA Germany.
There are five veterinary faculties in Germany that are all official MOs of IVSA. From North to South:
- Berlin
- Hanover
- Leipzig
- Giessen
- Munich
Every faculty has it’s own specialties which makes veterinary medicine in Germany more diverse and interesting!
If you’d like to know more about their IVSA chapters and even get in touch with them, feel free to visit their webpages shown in the menu.
Moreover IVSA Germany organizes two assemblies each year for all members and plans national exchanges with other MOs. For students from other IVSA MOs we give support to find internship/externship placements and provide help to get in touch with the right institutions.
