Welcome to IVSA Berlin!

IVSA Berlin: The chapter of Germany’s capital and biggest city!

Our campus is not to be found in the city center but located in the green district of Steglitz. The students all live in different areas of the city, which turns out to be the best way to enjoy the life of Berlin. It might not be a “typical” German city, but Berlin is full of history and charm. Nature, international flair, culture, events, social engagement, parties and flea markets. Whatever makes your heart beat, you’ll find it in Berlin! The city of the wall will steal your heart forever, no doubt.

IVSA Berlin is very active and has organized several exchanges so far. We follow the IVSA global initiatives (e.g. the wellness week and the welfare week) and we also try to be creative and set up different events (science slam, Erasmus buddy program and inspirational day). Besides the veterinary faculty, its clinics and research teams, Berlin is a major place for veterinary medicine and is home to a couple of famous institutes:

  • Robert Koch Institute: National Center for epidemiology
  • Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research
  • 2 Zoos (Tierpark and Zoo Berlin)
  • Friedrich Loefler Institute: Institute for Zoonoses
